I saw some things on Saturday. Series.Gra
y STI, one of 250.
Also, Series.Gray WRX, one of 750.
Lapis Blue is kinda nice on the STI ( I still miss Plasma Blue )
Also, really expensive Crosstrek. How expensive, you might ask? Well...
They had new Foresters, too...
If you are familiar with the SJ Forester and the GT Impreza/Crosstrek, you already have an idea what the SK Forester feels like inside and outside. Visibility is still good, but the rear quarter glass is smaller
yet. It makes the rear quarter look awkward. Jasper Green looks nice in person. Also, the Forester is now back to a prop-rod for the hood, back from a single gas-strut on the SJ, back from dual gas-struts on the SH.
I also found another 2009 Forester. This one was a 2.5X Premium in Camilla Red. Makes me glad mine doesn’t have the wheel well arch trim. It ages terribly.
Finally, I found a Launch Edition ‘15 STI, with some questionable exterior mods, and ~35,000 miles.

If only that Steel Gray wasn’t automatically priced at over $50k because “WRX STi! Limited edition! 1 of 250! ” Because goddamn if that color isn’t amazing.

Interesting that the Series.Gray shares the colour with the Canada-only Raiu Edition , a colour otherwise unavailable on the WRX.
I wish the colour was a bit more special though.

So sad to see Subaru continue to forsake enthusiasts. Even sadder to see Subaru dealers trying to be Jeep and truck dealers.

Each new version of the Forester makes me miss my SH XT more and more. I’m a dummy for selling it.

Lapis Blue is nice, but WRL is hard to beat!

It’s one of their weaker special edition colors, I think.

Am I allowed to agree with your second sentence ...?
I love my SH. Some days I wish it was an XT, though other days I’m kinda glad it’s not.

I sold it because I couldn’t stand the terrible gas mileage on premium (like 21mpg) and constant oil changes, so I got a Golf. The Subie was dead reliable and I even changed the spark plugs myself. It literally was the most difficult thing I have ever attempted in my life.
Then I sold the Golf for a Land Rover because no one is good at remembering past pain.

I was surprised to glance at the VINs one some new Foresters and realize they’re still being made in Japan.

As I recall, the Forester, Crosstrek, WRX/STI, and BRZ are still built in Japan. The Legacy, Outback, Impreza, and Ascent are built in the US.
